Peanut Butter in Boston
I'm taking this painting off the market temporarily to enter it into a competition at The Copley Society of Art .
The deadline for artists to enter is April 20, 2011.
George Nick is the juror and he is a wonderful painter.

The Art of Poetry Exhibition
at Cataumet Arts Center 76 Scraggy Neck road, Cataumet Village, Bourne, MA 02534-0240

I based my painting on Rob's poem: Talking Sylvia
There was no
contrast between the skyline
and the vertical steel bars
that lined the Bourne Bridge.
The day was gray -
and a melancholy mist
hung over
the Cape Cod Canal
Now it takes a bit of talent to pour
a shot of Bushmills into one's coffee while driving around one of those
New England rotaries. Jack - was a pro at it.
He also was a pretty good painter when he had to be
and this was one of those times he
damn well had to be. The "check guage" light came on. Jack new he would
have to stop if he was going to make it to Wellesley and
get that contract. So he said his goodbyes to
Alexander Hamilton at the Shell station and drove
the rest of the way alone, sadly, without the company
of anyone famous enough to get
themselves into print. Wellesley, he mused to himself, isn't that
where Plath used to live?
Little did Jack know he would soon be painting
a seven room house
only three streets over
from 26 Elmwood Road.,
the place where she
first tried to commit
suicide.

Speaking of Newbury Street, I'm in the throes of upgrading my studio to the front space of the building so I'll have a nicer spot to work and for people to come see my work.

Charels Street - Studio Upgrade

Sorry about the blurry picture - I'll re - shoot soon. This is another painting which (I'm pretty sure) has sold before I've even gotten a chance to properly photograph or post it online.
Good news! I've been moving from the back studio into the front for a few days now over at 162 Newbury Street.

Hereford and Commonwealth
This piece will make it's boloco debut on Monday March 28, 2011 at
It features my version of the Burrage Mansion as well as some Bostonians, and other cool features.
This piece was painted en plein aire with local Virtual Realist Brian Harkins as part of a collaborative project which will continue the immersion of Sean Boyce art into cyberspace. (It of course begins with Biff The Cyberpunk).
